Getting to Portland

By Air—The Monarch is just 15 minutes south of Portland International Airport (PDX) on I-205. PDX is served by 13 airlines with NON-STOP flights from nearly 60 U.S. and Canadian cities. (PDX.com) See your travel agent or online booking agent. The Monarch provides free shuttle (with advance notice) from the airport to the hotel. Or you can take Portland’s light rail at the airport to Clackamas Towne Center Mall, two blocks from the hotel (one easy transfer en-route), and call for the shuttle.
By Rail—Arrive in downtown Portland on Amtrak’s Coast Starlight (from Los Angeles and Seattle) or on the Empire Builder (Chicago-Minneapolis-Portland) and take Portland’s light rail Green Line to its terminus at Clackamas Towne Center, two blocks from the hotel.
By Road—The Monarch Hotel is located just off Interstate 205, which runs east of the downtown Portland area and south from Interstate 84. See the hotel site for driving directions.
However you arrive, plan to take in the great sites of Oregon while attending the conference—all within about a two hour drive: the Oregon Coast, the Columbia River Gorge, Mt. Saint Helens and Mt. Hood, not to mention the spectacular fall color of the Cascade Mountains and Oregon’s nearby wine country vineyards.
